Egypt Comix Week

 

In connection with the third edition of the “Egypt Comix Week” (December 5th to 10th, 2016) some of the works of the Danish painter and illustrator Inger-Lise Kristoffersen was exhibited in Beit al-Sihimi in Islamic Cairo.
The exhibited artwork consisted of original prints of her evocative linocuts from the acclaimed book: “The Fly, The Man and the Unruly Girl”; a children’s book where the story is told through the expressive illustrations only.
Inger-Lise Kristoffersen visited Cairo and took part in a number of the events of the comix week.

Inger-Lise Kristoffersen is an artist trained at the Design School in Kolding from 1968 to 1972.
Kristoffersen debuted in 1979 to illustrate the picture book ” How to Dream ” written by Inge Bro. has especially illustrated children’s books, held workshops and exhibitions at home and abroad.
When Inger-Lise Kristoffersen in 2012 received support from the Danish Arts Council, she began to write her own stories for picture books without words.
