Gender

DEDI's gender program supports the promotion and acceleration of social change in Egypt and in Denmark through a gendered lens. The program addresses, analyses and debates the culturally relative and socially constructed norms and legislation that lead to gender inequality. The program operates through partnership projects addressing regional demands and key local challenges to gender equality. Examples of the program partners are Danish and Egyptian NGOs, research institutions, independent activists, artists and academics, the media, and other donor organizations.
