How to start a project?
At the Danish-Egyptian Dialogue Institute we are looking for new ideas for innovative, creative, and cost-effective projects. If you have an idea for a project that might correspond to our aim and focus, we will be pleased to hear about it. To propose a project idea to the Institute, please read the below and follow the instructions. In general, the Institute can engage in implementing projects in two ways: Firstly, the Institute supports and coordinates partnership projects developed and implemented by a Danish or a European and an Egyptian or an Arab organization. A partnership project typically begins with a so-called “partnership meeting” organized in collaboration between the Institute and the organizations. At such a meeting the organizations develop their project idea into a project proposal to be submitted to the Institute’s Executive Board. Besides the activities implemented by the long-term employed staff, the Institute occasionally recruits short-term staff to develop project ideas into proposals to be submitted to the Institute’s Executive Board. If the Board accepts such a proposal, the person(s) recruited for developing the idea will typically become responsible for implementing the project for the Institute as Project Officers of the Institute. The next deadline for sending project ideas to the Institute for the year 2011 will be announced late 2010. The Danish-Egyptian Dialogue Institute funding of new initiatives is closed for 2010. Beware that all final applications for project activities are approved or refused by the Institute’s Executive Board. The approval or refusal of a project proposal happens in accordance with a fixed set of criteria. To read the criteria click here |
